From the Mayor's Desk - February 2016

It’s still a little early for spring cleaning but it is a good time to remind all residents of our Central Business District (CBD) that parking permits are required for overnight parking anywhere in the CBD area.

If you have a business in the CBD you are entitled to one (1) parking permit and if you are a resident in the CBD you get two (2) permits. If you have a business and reside in the same building you are entitled to both types of permits for a total of three (3).

Any vehicle parked overnight is required to display one of these parking permits. This rule applies to cars, trucks, trailers, boats and any other conveyance or device.

If you have not already done so, please contact us at City Hall so that we can issue your permit(s) for 2016. There is no charge for the permits and they can be transferred from one vehicle to another.

Beginning March 1, 2016, we will be enforcing Chapter 12.08.020 of the North Bonneville Municipal Code which states a $50 fine can be assessed in addition to any non-permitted vehicles being towed at the owner’s expense.

If you haven’t already done so, it’s also time to renew any business licenses, dog licenses, and golf cart permits. I know none of us is looking for ways to spend more of our money, but life works better when we all do the right thing and follow the rules, so please come into City Hall and get your household up to date on licenses and permits. We will all benefit from it.

If you have any comments, questions or concerns, please contact us in person, over the phone at 427-8182, or via email.
