Council agendas are distributed to the public the Wednesday prior to the meeting and council packets are emailed the day before. If you would like to be added to the mailing list to receive the agenda please email John Spencer at john [at] northbonneville.net.
The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office office just fined someone $100 for a loose dog that caused a bicyclist to crash per our ordinance 6.04.080:
After receiving a number of complaints on garbage and loud music, I recently called the sheriff’s office and asked them to step-up patrols in the Yehuh neighborhood. They were glad to help out. Their one request is that if you have a complaint or concern – be it a loud party, suspicious activity or speeding – please call them directly at 427-9490.
Fall is officially here and the leaves are already changing colors. In addition to the seasonal changes, I’m happy to report our City Council is back to full strength with the appointment of Patience Udall to fill Position 4. Patience is a self-employed business owner and has served our city through volunteering with Gorge Days. Please join me in welcoming her to our Council and congratulate her the next time you see her at the post office or around town.
September is here which means school is back in session. While some of us are happier about that than others, one thing we can all agree on is the need to be extra careful driving around town now that kids are waiting for school buses in the morning and walking home in the afternoons. Please be extra careful as you approach bus stops and watch for pedestrians as your navigate our city streets.
